ORSC Community Christmas Event 2026

Every year, on the last Thursday of November, we gather to close the year together. This tradition started when I invited Dorothy out for Christmas lunch about 12 years ago, to thank her for her support. We became aware that self-employment with all that it offers also means we don’t have places to celebrate end of the year! So began the UK ORSC Christmas party, open to ORSC trained/Certified as well as those curious about our work. This year that Thursday is 26 November, which is also Thanksgiving. So we're doing both: giving thanks for this community and celebrating the year together.

This year we're somewhere a little different. The Exchange is a community hub in Paddington run by North Paddington Foodbank, the UK's first cash-first food bank. Instead of food parcels, they give people cash, choice and control, alongside advice and support. We're inviting their community to join us, so you'll meet new people as well as old friends.

This is an in-person event for our ORSC community, hosted in The Exchange, Ernest Harriss House, 61 Elgin Avenue, London W9 2DB.

We'll start with a creative activity. Learning and designing something (TBC) to promote relationships.

Then drinks, food and celebration. A chance to hear how everyone's year has been, to say thank you, and to remember why we love this work.
